Case closed: The Amanpulo intrigue

The Abamo story is truly kafkasque as it is intriguing. A worker dies on New Year’s eve in the posh resort of the rich and famous. The in-house doctor reports a murder, but retracts it in an investigation. The body is flown out of the resort before the police can apply the powder dust. The body is cleaned, boxed and buried. The cause of death is natural, the resort insists. A zealous investigator smells foul play and files criminal charges. The resort’s top official gets fired and flown out of the country before he could even make a deposition. Investigators are left facing the proverbial blank wall. No witnesses, no proper investigation. No crime scene, if there was a crime. The wife grieves for the loss. Three children left without a breadwinner. Finally, a settlement offer. The widow relents, for her family’s sakes. Case dismissed.

no witness… facing the proverbial blank wall. why we call these authorities INVESTIGATOR?

I particularly pity the police investigator. He told me he’s still waiting for a breakthrough and he can establish murder. He’s waiting for Godot, if you ask me.

lesson 101… they should watch CSI…hehe… in case they forgot how to work as investigator.

I pity the family of the murderred laborer as well as the police personnel who dutifully did their best in getting as much information/evidence for the said covered up/white washed and eventually dismissed case. So much waste in life, precious time, government funds and manhours of police officers. The pronouncement of Fiscal AC/DC Dismiss Rodriguez gave the death blow to the case. What more could you expect of the perverted justice system in R.P. particularly Palawan, much more when the prosecutongs, este prosecutors are headed by AC/DC people. Remember the Land Grabbing cases up north, the released foreigners/fisherman rampaging the Tubbattaha waters of endangered species and all other cases of illegal fishing by foreigners? Neither one of those cases were properly and justly tried. What happened, people? Nadaan ba sa maboboteng usapan at magandang pesonality?

yeah… just a fine example how justice works in rp. and these people are spending people’s money… this is the money they provide to their family and come to think of it, what significant they do in relation to their work? they call themselves public servant… they are more of a liabilities.

I hate the corrupt police in the Philippines! The man died of a heart attack in his bunk, there was no “murder”. But of course the crooked dirty cops smell money, lots of money, at a posh resort for Hollywood stars, and would do anything to get a payoff. No doubt they probably did anyway.

That’s why I’ve left the Philippines. The police are the most crooked, corrupt and morally bankrupt in the world!
